About Peter
Peter, from childhood has had an interest in art. His first foray into oil painting was in his early teens when his sister commissioned him to paint a tiger. See to the right. His cousin Michael had been given a set of oils and so they shared these and started their long career as artists. Both still have these first paintings within the family circle.
Over the years Peter has travelled the world painting many of the scenes he has been priviledged to see. Whilst living in South Africa he studied under the amazing artist Sydney Goldblatt. This gave Peter the impetus to really take his painting seriously. He returned to Cornwall in 1981, met the love of his life and married Sandra. He lives just outside of St Ives and therefore enjoys the wonderful light that the Atlantic coast in this area is renowned for. He teaches oil painting in various parts of Cornwall on a regular basis but always looks forward to painting out in the fresh air, hence the challenge of painting a painting each week and posting it on this site really appeals to him. His great love also is beautiful old cars and admires the condition that enthusiasts bring their cars back to and that they deserve to have them painted in all their glory. He would love to hear your comments on his interpretation of all the subjects he paints and you're able to do this on the ' contact me ' page. He also thanks you for visiting his site.
